Psalms 30

Funda

1 A psalm; a song at the dedication of the house; of David.
2 I will exalt Thee, O Jehovah; for Thou hast drawn· me ·up,
and hast not made· my enemies ·glad over me.

2 3 O Jehovah, my God,
I cried··out to Thee, and Thou hast healed me.

3 4 O Jehovah, Thou hast brought··up my soul from hell;
Thou hast made me live, from among those who go··down··to the pit.

4 5 Sing··psalms to Jehovah, O ye His merciful ones,
and make··confession for the remembrance of His holiness.

5 6 For there is a moment in His anger,
but life is in His good··pleasure;
in the evening, weeping may pass··the··night,
but in the morning there is singing··aloud.

6 7 And I said in my tranquility,
I shall not be moved to eternity.

7 8 O Jehovah, in Thy good··pleasure Thou hast made strength to stand for my mountain:
Thou didst hide Thy face; I was vexed.

8 9 to Thee, O Jehovah did I call;
and unto Jehovah I made··supplication.

9 10 What gain is there in my blood, in my going··down to the ditch?
Shall the dust confess Thee? Shall it tell Thy truth?

10 11 Hear, O Jehovah, and be··gracious··to me;
O Jehovah, be Thou a helper for me.

11 12 Thou hast turned for me my wailing to dancing;
Thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded· me ·with gladness;

12 13 so··that glory may sing· Thee ·psalms, and not be··still;
O Jehovah, my God, to eternity will I confess Thee.
