1
To the victor; of◦ David.
In Jehovah do I confide;
how◦ do you say to my soul, Flee··away to your mountain, as a bird?
2
For, behold, the wicked bend◦ the bow, they prepare their arrow upon the bow··string,
to shoot with··it in thick··darkness toward◦ the upright in heart.
3
When◦ the foundations◦ are broken··down,
how will the just work?
4
Jehovah is in the temple of His holiness,
Jehovah, in the heavens is His throne;
His eyes behold,
His eyelids test the sons of man.
5
Jehovah tests the just;
but the wicked and him who loves violence His soul hates.
6
He will rain upon the wicked traps, fire, and sulfur;
and the wind of the gales is the portion of their cup.
7
For Jehovah is just; He loves justice;
His face beholds the upright.
