10419. 'Go! go down' means looking at their interest in what is outward. This is clear from the meaning of 'going down from Mount Sinai' as looking at, considering, and examining. For 'Mount Sinai' means heaven, from which Divine Truth comes, 9420, so that in the spiritual sense 'going down' is not a bodily but a mental descent, thus a mental looking and considering.
