And Leah said, In my blessedness; for the daughters will call me blessed; and she called his name Asher. “And Zilpah Leah’s handmaid bare a second son to Jacob,” signifies the acknowledgment of the second general truth; “and Leah said, In my blessedness; for the daughters will call me blessed,” signifies in the supreme sense eternity, in the internal sense the happiness of eternal life, and in the external sense the delight of the affections; “and she called his name Asher,” signifies its quality.
