Only the flesh with the soul thereof, the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. “Flesh” signifies the will part of man; the “soul” signifies the new life; the “blood” signifies charity; “not to eat” signifies not to mingle together; wherefore by “not eating flesh with the soul thereof, the blood thereof” is meant not mingling profane things with holy.
