എന്തു പണയം തരേണം എന്നു അവന് ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു നിന്റെ മുദ്രമോതിരവും മോതിരച്ചരടും നിന്റെ കയ്യിലെ വടിയും എന്നു അവള് പറഞ്ഞു. ഇവ അവള്ക്കു കൊടുത്തു, അവന് അവളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു; അവള് ഗര്ഭം ധരിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

4927. 'And he called his name Perez' means the essential nature of it, that is to say, of the apparent separation of that truth from good. This is clear from the meaning of 'calling the name' as the essential nature, dealt with in 144, 145, 1754, 1896, 2009, 2724, 3006, 3421, the actual nature being meant by 'Perez', for in the original language 'Perez' describes a breach.
