7665. 'And he said to them' means mockery. This is clear from the actual words that Pharaoh uses, 'So Jehovah will be with you when I send you and your little children away!' These are words of mockery.
7665a 1 'So Jehovah will be with you when I send you and your little children away!' means As though the Lord would be with them if they were left alone! This is clear from the meaning of 'So Jehovah will be with you!' as As though the Lord would be with them! ('Jehovah' being the Lord, see just above in 7664); from the meaning of 'sending away' as leaving; and from the meaning of 'little children' as those who make up the father's family or house, for the 'little children' here are those called 'children', 'sons', and 'daughters' in the verse immediately before.
