Genesi第11章:19
To many Protestant and Evangelical Italians, the Bibles translated by Giovanni Diodati are an important part of their history. Diodati’s first Italian Bible edition was printed in 1607, and his second in 1641. He died in 1649. Throughout the 1800s two editions of Diodati’s text were printed by the British Foreign Bible Society. This is the more recent 1894 edition, translated by Claudiana.
Last Judgment (Posthumous)#107
107. [108.] I had it personally shown to me why Babel or Babylonia 1 was called Lucifer, son of the morning, in chapter 14 of Isaiah. That Babel is meant by Lucifer there 2 is apparent from preceding and following verses in that chapter (regarding which, cite what is said there), and from the fact that in the beginning Babel worships the Lord and observes His commandments more than others, with a view to dominion, but that in the process of time dominion takes priority, until at last it thrusts even the Lord from the throne and places itself upon it.
