Juda said: What wilt thou have for a pledge ? She answered: Thy ring and bracelet, and the staff which thou holdest in thy hand. The woman therefore at one copulation conceived.
4878. 'And came [in] to her' means the joining together. This is clear from the meaning of 'coming (or going in) to someone' as a joining together, also dealt with above, in 4820, 4868, 4870.
