⁹ And the land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, because he saith, The river is mine, and I made it.

¹⁷ And I took the cup at Jehovah's hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Jehovah had sent me:

⁴ He rebukes the sea, and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers. Bashan languishes, and Carmel; and the flower of Lebanon languishes.
