7788. “向我俯伏下拜” 表由惧怕所生的对神之真理的尊重. 这从 “摩西” 的代表和 “俯伏下拜” 的含义清楚可知: “摩西” 是指神之真理, 如前面频繁所述; “俯伏下拜” 是指谦卑, 但在此是指由惧怕所生的尊重, 因为它论及那些沉浸于邪恶的人. 之所以说 “由惧怕所生的尊重”, 是因为恶人对神的真理没有任何尊重, 甚至对神自己也没有任何尊重, 除非他们出于惧怕生出尊重. 事实上, 地狱里的人只爱自己, 只爱自己的人并不尊重别人, 因为他们将对他人, 甚至对神自己的一切尊重都集中在自己身上. 哪里有爱, 哪里就有尊重; 哪里没有爱, 哪里除了由惧怕所生的尊重外, 没有任何尊重. 这解释了为何在来世, 恶人会受到惩罚, 直到最后他们不敢起来反对良善, 侵扰他们. 因为除了对惩罚的惧怕外, 没有别的方法能阻止他们作恶.
