Exodus第22章:1

学习

1 If a man takes without right another man's ox or his sheep, and puts it to death or gets a price for it, he is to give five oxen for an ox, or four sheep for a sheep, in payment: the thief will have to make payment for what he has taken; if he has no money, he himself will have to be exchanged for money, so that payment may be made.

9083. 'And the ox shall be stoned' means the punishment for destroying truth and good in the natural. This is clear from the meaning of 'being stoned' as the punishment for the destruction of the truth and good of faith, dealt with in 5156, 7456, 8575, 8799. The reason for its being in the natural is that the ox was to be stoned, and by 'the ox' is meant an affection for evil in the natural that has caused the destruction.
