¹ "เมื่อเจ้าแบ่งแผ่นดินเป็นกรรมสิทธิ์โดยการจับสลากนั้น เจ้าจงถวายที่ดินส่วนหนึ่งไว้เพื่อพระเยโฮวาห์ให้เป็นตำบลบริสุทธิ์ ยาวสองหมื่นห้าพันศอก และกว้างหนึ่งหมื่นศอก จะเป็นที่บริสุทธิ์ตลอดบริเวณนั้น

² ในบริเวณนี้ให้มีที่สี่เหลี่ยมจตุรัสแปลงหนึ่งยาวห้าร้อยกว้างห้าร้อยศอกสำหรับสถานบริสุทธิ์ ให้มีบริเวณว่างไว้โดยรอบอีกห้าสิบศอก

³ ในตำบลบริสุทธิ์นั้น เจ้าจงวัดส่วนหนึ่งออก ยาวสองหมื่นห้าพันศอก กว้างหนึ่งหมื่นศอก ในบริเวณนี้ให้เป็นที่ตั้งของสถานบริสุทธิ์ และของที่บริสุทธิ์ที่สุด

⁴ ให้เป็นส่วนแผ่นดินที่บริสุทธิ์ ให้เป็นของปุโรหิต ผู้ปรนนิบัติอยู่ในสถานบริสุทธิ์ และเข้าใกล้พระเยโฮวาห์เพื่อจะปรนนิบัติพระองค์ ให้เป็นที่สำหรับปลูกบ้านเรือนของเขาและเป็นที่บริสุทธิ์สำหรับสถานบริสุทธิ์

⁵ อีกส่วนหนึ่งซึ่งยาวสองหมื่นห้าพันศอกและกว้างหนึ่งหมื่นศอกนั้นเป็นที่ของคนเลวี ผู้ปรนนิบัติอยู่ที่พระนิเวศ ให้เป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ของเขา ให้มีห้องยี่สิบห้อง

⁶ ใกล้ๆกับส่วนที่ตั้งไว้เป็นตำบลบริสุทธิ์นั้น เจ้าจะต้องกำหนดที่ดินผืนหนึ่งกว้างห้าพันศอก ยาวสองหมื่นห้าพันศอก ให้เป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ของเมือง ให้เป็นของวงศ์วานอิสราเอลทั้งหมด

⁷ แผ่นดินทั้งสองข้างของตำบลบริสุทธิ์และส่วนของเมืองนั้น ให้ยกเป็นที่ดินของเจ้านายเคียงข้างกับตำบลบริสุทธิ์ และส่วนของเมืองด้านตะวันตกและตะวันออกมีส่วนยาวเท่ากับส่วนที่ยกให้คนตระกูลหนึ่ง ยืดออกไปตามทางตะวันตกและทางตะวันออกของเขตแดนแผ่นดิน

⁸ ให้เป็นส่วนของเจ้านายในอิสราเอล และเจ้านายของเราจะไม่บีบคั้นประชาชนของเราอีก แต่เจ้านายเหล่านั้นจะยอมให้วงศ์วานอิสราเอลได้แผ่นดินที่เหลือตามส่วนตระกูลของตน

⁹ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า โอ บรรดาเจ้านายแห่งอิสราเอลเอ๋ย พอเสียทีเถิด จงทิ้งการทารุณและการบีบคั้นเสีย และกระทำความยุติธรรมและความเที่ยงธรรม องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสว่า จงเลิกการขับไล่ประชาชนของเราให้ออกจากที่ดินอันเป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ของเขาเสีย

¹⁰ เจ้าจงมีตาชั่ง เอฟาห์และบัทที่เที่ยงตรง

¹¹ เอฟาห์และบัทนั้นให้เป็นขนาดเดียวกัน บัทหนึ่งจุหนึ่งในสิบของโฮเมอร์ และเอฟาห์ก็จุหนึ่งในสิบของโฮเมอร์ ให้โฮเมอร์เป็นเครื่องวัดมาตรฐาน

¹² เชเขลหนึ่งมียี่สิบเก-ราห์ มาเนของเจ้าก็ให้มียี่สิบเชเขล ยี่สิบห้าเชเขลและสิบห้าเชเขล

¹³ ต่อไปนี้เป็นกำหนดของถวายที่เจ้าทั้งหลายจะต้องถวาย คือข้าวสาลีโฮเมอร์หนึ่งให้ถวายหนึ่งในหกเอฟาห์ ข้าวบารลีโฮเมอร์หนึ่งให้ถวายหนึ่งในหกของเอฟาห์

¹⁴ และส่วนกำหนดประจำของน้ำมัน คือน้ำมันหนึ่งบัท น้ำมันโคระหนึ่งถวายหนึ่งในสิบของบัท โคระก็เหมือนโฮเมอร์จุสิบบัท เพราะสิบบัทเท่ากับโฮเมอร์

¹⁵ แกะฝูงสองร้อยตัวก็ให้ถวายตัวหนึ่ง จากทุ่งเลี้ยงสัตว์อันอุดมของอิสราเอล องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสว่า นี่แหละเป็นของถวายสำหรับธัญญบูชา เครื่องเผาบูชา และสันติบูชาเพื่อทำการลบมลทินให้เขาทั้งหลาย

¹⁶ ให้ประชาชนทั้งสิ้นแห่งแผ่นดินนี้มอบของถวายเหล่านี้แก่เจ้านายแห่งอิสราเอล

¹⁷ ให้เป็นหน้าที่ของเจ้านายที่จะจัดเครื่องเผาบูชา ธัญญบูชา เครื่องดื่มบูชา ณ งานเทศกาลทั้งหลายในวันขึ้นค่ำและสะบาโต ในงานเทศกาลที่กำหนดไว้ของวงศ์วานอิสราเอลทั้งสิ้น ให้เขาจัดเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาป ธัญญบูชา เครื่องเผาบูชา และสันติบูชา เพื่อกระทำการลบบาปให้แก่วงศ์วานอิสราเอล

¹⁸ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า ในวันที่หนึ่งของเดือนที่หนึ่ง เจ้าจงเอาวัวหนุ่มที่ปราศจากตำหนิตัวหนึ่ง และเจ้าจงชำระสถานบริสุทธิ์เสีย

¹⁹ ให้ปุโรหิตเอาเลือดของเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาปมาบ้างและจงประพรมที่เสาประตูพระนิเวศ ที่ขั้นสี่มุมของแท่นบูชา และบนเสาประตูของลานชั้นใน

²⁰ ในวันที่เจ็ดของเดือนนั้นเจ้าจงกระทำเช่นเดียวกัน เพื่อผู้หนึ่งผู้ใดที่กระทำบาปด้วยความพลั้งเผลอหรือความรู้เท่าไม่ถึงการ เพื่อว่าเจ้าจะได้กระทำการลบมลทินพระนิเวศ

²¹ ในวันที่สิบสี่ของเดือนต้น เจ้าจงฉลองเทศกาลปัสกา จงรับประทานขนมปังไร้เชื้อตลอดเทศกาลเจ็ดวัน

²² ในวันนั้นให้เจ้านายจัดหาวัวหนุ่มตัวหนึ่งสำหรับตนเองและประชาชนทั้งสิ้นแห่งแผ่นดิน เพื่อเป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาป

²³ และในเจ็ดวันที่มีเทศกาลเลี้ยงให้เจ้านายจัดหาวัวหนุ่มเจ็ดตัวกับแกะผู้เจ็ดตัวที่ปราศจากตำหนิ ให้เป็นเครื่องเผาบูชาแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ทุกๆวันตลอดเจ็ดวันนั้น และจัดหาลูกแพะผู้ตัวหนึ่งทุกวันให้เป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาป

²⁴ และให้เจ้านายจัดหาธัญญบูชาเอฟาห์หนึ่งคู่กับวัวผู้หนึ่ง และเอฟาห์หนึ่งคู่กับแกะผู้หนึ่ง และน้ำมันหนึ่งฮินต่อแป้งทุกเอฟาห์

²⁵ ในวันที่สิบห้าของเดือนที่เจ็ด และในเทศกาลเลี้ยงทั้งเจ็ดวัน ให้ท่านจัดหาของเช่นเดียวกันสำหรับเป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาป เครื่องเผาบูชา ธัญญบูชา และเครื่องน้ำมัน"

¹ Festus therefore, having come into the province, after three days went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.

² Then the high priest and the principal men of the Jews informed him against Paul, and they begged him,

³ asking a favor against him, that he would summon him to Jerusalem; plotting to kill him on the way.

⁴ However Festus answered that Paul should be kept in custody at Caesarea, and that he himself was about to depart shortly.

⁵ "Let them therefore," said he, "that are in power among you go down with me, and if there is anything wrong in the man, let them accuse him."

⁶ When he had stayed among them more than ten days, he went down to Caesarea, and on the next day he sat on the judgment seat, and commanded Paul to be brought.

⁷ When he had come, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem stood around him, bringing against him many and grievous charges which they could not prove,

⁸ while he said in his defense, "Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar, have I sinned at all."

⁹ But Festus, desiring to gain favor with the Jews, answered Paul and said, "Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem, and be judged by me there concerning these things?"

¹⁰ But Paul said, "I am standing before Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be tried. I have done no wrong to the Jews, as you also know very well.

¹¹ For if I have done wrong, and have committed anything worthy of death, I don't refuse to die; but if none of those things is true that they accuse me of, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar!"

¹² Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, "You have appealed to Caesar. To Caesar you shall go."

¹³ Now when some days had passed, King Agrippa and Bernice arrived at Caesarea, and greeted Festus.

¹⁴ As he stayed there many days, Festus laid Paul's case before the king, saying, "There is a certain man left a prisoner by Felix;

¹⁵ about whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, asking for a sentence against him.

¹⁶ To whom I answered that it is not the custom of the Romans to give up any man to destruction, before the accused has met the accusers face to face, and has had opportunity to make his defense concerning the matter laid against him.

¹⁷ When therefore they had come together here, I didn't delay, but on the next day sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought.

¹⁸ Concerning whom, when the accusers stood up, they brought no charge of such things as I supposed;

¹⁹ but had certain questions against him about their own religion, and about one Jesus, who was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

²⁰ Being perplexed how to inquire concerning these things, I asked whether he was willing to go to Jerusalem and there be judged concerning these matters.

²¹ But when Paul had appealed to be kept for the decision of the emperor, I commanded him to be kept until I could send him to Caesar."

²² Agrippa said to Festus, "I also would like to hear the man myself." "Tomorrow," he said, "you shall hear him."

²³ So on the next day, when Agrippa and Bernice had come with great pomp, and they had entered into the place of hearing with the commanding officers and principal men of the city, at the command of Festus, Paul was brought in.

²⁴ Festus said, "King Agrippa, and all men who are here present with us, you see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews petitioned me, both at Jerusalem and here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.

²⁵ But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and as he himself appealed to the emperor I determined to send him.

²⁶ Of whom I have no certain thing to write to my lord. Therefore I have brought him forth before you, and especially before you, King Agrippa, that, after examination, I may have something to write.

²⁷ For it seems to me unreasonable, in sending a prisoner, not to also specify the charges against him."
