Studie

   

1 A sinovi Aronovi, Nadav i Avijud, uzevši svaki svoju kadionicu metnuše oganj u njih i na oganj metnuše kad, i prinesoše pred Gospodom oganj tuđ, a to im ne beše zapovedio.

2 Tada dođe oganj od Gospoda i udari ih, te pogiboše pred Gospodom.

3 Tada reče Mojsije Aronu: To je što je kazao Gospod govoreći: U onima koji pristupaju k meni biću svet i pred celim narodom proslaviću se. A Aron oćute.

4 A Mojsije pozva Misaila i Elisafana sinove Ozila strica Aronovog, i reče im: Hodite i iznesite braću svoju ispred svetinje napolje iz logora.

5 I pristupiše i iznesoše ih u košuljama njihovim napolje iz logora, kao što reče Mojsije.

6 Tada reče Mojsije Aronu i Eleazaru i Itamaru, sinovima njegovim: Nemojte otkrivati glava svojih, ni haljina svojih razdirati, da ne izginete i da se Gospod ne razgnevi na sav zbor; nego braća vaša, sav rod Izrailjev, neka plače radi požara koji učini Gospod.

7 I s vrata šatora od sastanka nemojte izlaziti, da ne izginete, jer je na vama ulje pomazanja Gospodnjeg. I učiniše po reči Mojsijevoj.

8 I Gospod reče Aronu govoreći:

9 Vino i silovito piće nemoj piti ti ni sinovi tvoji s tobom, kad ulazite u šator od sastanka da ne izginete. To neka vam je uredba večna od kolena na koleno.

10 Da biste mogli raspoznavati šta je sveto šta li nije, i šta je čisto šta li nečisto.

11 I da biste učili sinove Izrailjeve svim uredbama koje im je kazao Gospod preko Mojsija.

12 A Mojsije reče Aronu i Eleazaru i Itamaru sinovima njegovim koji ostaše: Uzimajte dar što ostane od ognjenih žrtava Gospodnjih, i jedite s hlebom presnim kod oltara, jer je svetinja nad svetinjama.

13 Zato ćete ga jesti na svetom mestu, jer je deo tvoj i deo sinova tvojih od ognjenih žrtava Gospodnjih; jer mi je tako zapoveđeno.

14 A grudi od žrtve obrtane i pleće od žrtve podizane jedite na čistom mestu, ti i sinovi tvoji i kćeri tvoje s tobom; jer je taj deo dan tebi i sinovima tvojim od zahvalnih žrtava sinova Izrailjevih.

15 Pleće od žrtve podizane i grudi od žrtve obrtane donosiće se sa salom što se sažiže, da se obrne tamo i amo pred Gospodom, i biće tvoje i sinova tvojih s tobom zakonom večnim, kao što je zapovedio Gospod.

16 I Mojsije potraži jare za greh; ali gle, beše izgorelo; zato se razgnevi na Eleazara i na Itamara sinove Aronove koji ostaše, i reče:

17 Zašto ne jedoste žrtve za greh na svetom mestu? Svetinja je nad svetinjama, i dade vam je Gospod da nosite greh svega zbora, da bi se očistili od greha pred Gospodom.

18 A eto krv njena nije unesena u svetinju; valjaše vam je jesti na svetom mestu, kao što sam zapovedio.

19 Tada reče Aron Mojsiju: Eto, danas prinesoše žrtvu svoju za greh i žrtvu svoju paljenicu pred Gospodom, i to mi se dogodi. A da sam danas jeo žrtve za greh, bi li bilo po volji Gospodu?

20 Kad ču to Mojsije, prista na to.

9375. 'Nadab and Abihu' means teachings derived from both senses. This is clear from the fact that they were Aaron's sons; therefore when the Word is meant by 'Aaron', teachings are meant by 'his sons', teachings derived from the inward sense of the Word being meant by the older son, and teachings derived from the outward sense of it by the younger. Teachings derived from the inward sense of the Word and teachings derived from the outward sense of the Word make one with each other; for people alert to what lies on an inward level are aware also of what lies on an outward level. The Lord's Church exists everywhere on an inward level and on an outward level. The Church on an inward level resides in the heart, the Church on an outward level resides on the lips; that is, the inward Church resides in the will, the outward in action. When the inward level in a person makes one with the outward what resides in the heart then lies also on the lips, or what resides in the will then lies in action. Or what amounts to the same thing, what lies on the lips is then the heart speaking, and what lies in action is then the will acting, without any disagreement between the inward and the outward. Thus it is also faith speaking and love or charity acting, that is, it is the Lord, who is the Source of faith and charity, speaking and acting.

[2] Since Nadab and Abihu, Aaron's sons, represented teachings derived from the Word, they were therefore killed when they introduced worship based on teachings different from those derived from the Word. This was represented by the following incident involving them, recorded in Moses,

Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu each took his censer and put fire in it, onto which they placed incense, and in so doing offered to Jehovah foreign 1 fire, which He had not commanded them. Therefore fire went out from before Jehovah and devoured them, so that they died before Jehovah. And Moses said to Aaron, This is what Jehovah spoke, saying, In those who are near Me 2 I will be sanctified. Leviticus 10:1-3.

'Foreign fire in the censer' means teachings derived from a source other than the Word. For 'fire' means the good of love and 'incense' the truth of faith rising from it, and the good of love and the truth of faith are the realities which go to make teachings derived from the Word. From this it is evident why they were devoured by fire 'from before Jehovah'. 'Being sanctified through those who are near' means with those who are joined to the Lord through the good of love and the truth of faith derived from the Word.
