Micah 3

Studie

1 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye captains of the house of Israel; is it not for you to know judgment?

2 You who hate the good, and love the evil; robbing their skin from off them, and their muscle from off their bones;

3 and who eat the muscle of My people, and strip their skin from off them; and they burst··out their bones, and spread them out, as in the pot, and as flesh in the midst of the cauldron.

4 Then they shall cry to Jehovah, but He will not answer them; and He will hide His face from them at that time, as they have done··evil in their actions.

5 Thus says Jehovah concerning the prophets who make My people stray, who bite with their teeth, and proclaim, Peace! And he who gives not a kiss* on their mouth, against him they also sanctify war.

6 Therefore it shall be night for you instead of a vision; and it shall be··dark for you instead of divination; and the sun shall set* over the prophets, and the day shall blacken over them.

7 And the visionaries shall be··ashamed, and the diviners shall blush; they shall all cloak the upper··lip, for there is no answer of God.

8 Nevertheless I am··full of power with the spirit of Jehovah, and of judgment, and of might, to tell to Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and captains of the house of Israel, who abominate judgment, and twist all the upright,

10 who build Zion with bloods*, and Jerusalem with perversity:

11 her heads judge for a bribe, and her priests instruct for a price, and her prophets divine for silver; and they lean on Jehovah, saying, Is not Jehovah among us? Evil will not come upon us.

12 Therefore because··of you shall Zion be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high··places of the forest.

Walk

Walking represents living, and usually means living according to the true things taught to us by the Lord -- to "walk in His ways." When the Lord is pictured walking, it means life itself.
