¹ And Jehovah spoke to^▵ Moses, saying,

² Speak to^▵ the sons of Israel, and say to^▵ them, Concerning the appointed·​·festivals of Jehovah, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these, they^◦ are My appointed·​·festivals.

³ Six days shall work^▵* be done; but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Sabbath^*, a holy convocation; you shall not do any work^▵ in it: it^◦ is the Sabbath of Jehovah in all your dwellings.

⁴ These are the appointed·​·festivals of Jehovah, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons.

⁵ In the fourteenth day of the first month between the two·​·evenings^* is the Passover of^◦ Jehovah.

⁶ And on^◦ the fifteenth day of this month is the festival of unleavened bread to Jehovah; seven days you will eat unleavened bread.

⁷ In the first day there shall be a holy convocation; you shall not do any work^▵ of service in it.

⁸ But you shall offer a fire·​·offering to Jehovah seven days; in the seventh day is a holy convocation: you shall not do any work^▵ of service in it.

⁹ And Jehovah spoke to^▵ Moses, saying,

¹⁰ Speak to^▵ the sons of Israel, and say to^▵ them, When^◦ you come into^▵ the land which I^◦ give to you, and shall harvest its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits^◦ of your harvest to^▵ the priest.

¹¹ and he shall wave the sheaf before Jehovah, to be good·​·pleasure for you; on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.

¹² And you shall make, on^◦ the day when you wave the sheaf, a perfect lamb, the son of its year, for a burnt·​·offering to Jehovah.

¹³ And its gift·​·offering shall be two tenths of flour mixed with oil, a fire·​·offering to Jehovah for a restful smell; and its poured·​·offering shall be of wine, the fourth of a hin.

¹⁴ And bread and parched·​·grain and fresh·​·grain you shall not eat, until this same day, until you have brought an offering to your God; it shall be an eternal statute for your generations in all your dwellings.

¹⁵ And you shall number to you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be finished;

¹⁶ even·​·to the morrow after the seventh Sabbath you shall number fifty days; and you shall offer a new gift·​·offering to Jehovah.

¹⁷ You shall bring from your dwellings two wave breads; they shall be of two tenths of flour, baked with leaven, the firstfruits to Jehovah.

¹⁸ And you shall offer on the bread seven perfect lambs, the sons of a year, and one bullock, the young^◦ of the herd, and two rams; they shall be for a burnt·​·offering to Jehovah, and their gift·​·offering, and their poured·​·offerings, even a fire·​·offering, a restful smell to Jehovah.

¹⁹ And you shall make one male goat^◦ of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs, sons of a year, for a sacrifice of peace·​·offerings.

²⁰ And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before Jehovah, with the two lambs; they shall be holy to Jehovah for the priest.

²¹ And you shall proclaim on^◦ this same day, that it is a holy convocation to you; you shall not do any work^▵ of service in it; it shall be an eternal statute in all your dwellings for your generations.

²² And when you harvest the harvest of your land, thou shalt not complete the corners^▵ of thy field when thou harvestest, and thou shalt not collect all the collecting of thy harvest; thou shalt forsake them for the afflicted and for the sojourner; I^◦ am Jehovah your God.

²³ And Jehovah spoke to^▵ Moses, saying,

²⁴ Speak to^▵ the sons of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on^◦ the first^◦ of the month, you shall have a Sabbath, a memorial, a blast of trumpets, a holy convocation.

²⁵ You shall not do any work^▵ of service in it; but you shall offer a fire·​·offering to Jehovah.

²⁶ And Jehovah spoke to^▵ Moses, saying,

²⁷ Surely on the tenth of^◦ this seventh month there shall be a day of atonements; it^◦ shall be a holy convocation to you; and you shall afflict your souls, and offer a fire·​·offering to Jehovah.

²⁸ And you shall not do any work^▵ in this same day; for it^◦ is a day of atonements, to make·​·atonement for^▵ you before Jehovah your God.

²⁹ For every soul that shall not be afflicted in this same day, he shall be cut·​·off from his people.

³⁰ And every soul that does any work^▵ in this same day, I will make· that^◦ soul ·perish from among his people.

³¹ You shall not do any work^▵; it shall be an eternal statute for your generations in all your dwellings.

³² It^◦ shall be to you a Sabbath of rest^◦, and you shall afflict your souls. In the ninth of^◦ the month in the evening, from evening to^◦ evening, you shall rest^◦ on your Sabbath.

³³ And Jehovah spoke to^▵ Moses, saying,

³⁴ Speak to^▵ the sons of Israel, saying, On^◦ the fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the festival of shelters^* for seven days to Jehovah.

³⁵ On^◦ the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall not do any work^▵ of service in it.

³⁶ seven days you shall offer a fire·​·offering to Jehovah; on^◦ the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you; and you shall offer a fire·​·offering to Jehovah: it^◦ is a day of restraint; you shall not do any work^▵ of service.

³⁷ These are the solemn·​·occasions of Jehovah, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer a fire·​·offering to Jehovah, a burnt·​·offering, and a gift·​·offering, a sacrifice, and poured·​·offerings, every thing in its day;

³⁸ apart from the Sabbaths of Jehovah, and apart from your gifts, and apart from all your vows, and apart from all your freewill offerings, which you give to Jehovah.

³⁹ Only^▵ on^◦ the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the increase of the land, you shall celebrate a festival to Jehovah seven days; on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on^◦ the eighth day shall be a Sabbath.

⁴⁰ And you shall take for yourself on^◦ the first day the fruits of the trees of honor, palms of palm·​·trees, and the boughs of intertwined trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall be·​·glad before Jehovah your God seven days.

⁴¹ And you shall celebrate it, a festival to Jehovah seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for eternity in your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

⁴² You shall dwell in shelters seven days; every native in Israel shall dwell in shelters;

⁴³ so·​·that your generations may·​·know that I made the sons of Israel to dwell in shelters, when I brought· them ·out of the land of Egypt; I^◦ am Jehovah your God.

⁴⁴ And Moses spoke to^▵ the sons of Israel concerning the appointed·​·festivals of Jehovah.

¹ These are the statutes and judgments, which you shall observe to do in the land, which Jehovah God of thy fathers gives thee to possess it, all the days that you are alive upon the ground.

² Making·​·to·​·perish you shall make· all the places ·perish, wherein^◦ the nations, which you^◦ shall dispossess, served their gods, on the exalted mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree;

³ and you shall tear·​·down their altars, and break their statues, and burn·​·up their groves with fire; and you shall hew·​·down the graven images of their gods, and make· their names ·perish from that^◦ place.

⁴ You shall not do so to Jehovah your God.

⁵ But to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose out of all your tribes^◦ to put His name there, even to His Habitation you shall inquire, and thither thou shalt come;

⁶ and thither you shall bring your burnt·​·offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and upliftings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks;

⁷ and there you shall eat before Jehovah your God, and you shall be·​·glad in all that you put·​·forth^◦ your hand to, you^◦ and your houses, in which Jehovah thy God has blessed thee.

⁸ You shall not do after all that we^◦ do here today, each man^◦, all that is upright in his own eyes.

⁹ For you have not yet come to^▵ rest and to^▵ the inheritance, which Jehovah thy God gives thee.

¹⁰ And you shall cross·​·over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which Jehovah your God causes you to inherit; and He shall give you rest from all your enemies from all around you, and you shall dwell securely.

¹¹ And there shall be a place which Jehovah your God shall choose to cause His name to abide^◦ there; thither you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt·​·offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the uplifting^◦ of your hand, and all the choice of your vows which you vow to Jehovah;

¹² and you shall be·​·glad before Jehovah your God, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your servants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he has no part nor inheritance with you.

¹³ Take·​·heed to thyself lest thou offer·​·up thy burnt·​·offerings in every place that thou seest;

¹⁴ but in the place which Jehovah shall choose in one of thy tribes^◦, there thou shalt offer up thy burnt·​·offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.

¹⁵ Only with all the longing of thy soul thou mayest sacrifice and eat flesh, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God, which He has given thee in all thy gates; the unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the roebuck, and as of the stag.

¹⁶ Only the blood you shall not eat; you shall spill it on the earth as water.

¹⁷ Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy grain^◦, or of thy must^*, or of thine olive·​·oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or uplifting of thy hand;

¹⁸ but^◦ thou must eat them before Jehovah thy God in the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, thou^◦, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy servant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite who is within^◦ thy gates; and thou shalt be·​·glad before Jehovah thy God in all that thou puttest·​·forth^◦ thy hands.

¹⁹ Take·​·heed to thyself lest thou forsake the Levite all thy days on thy ground.

²⁰ When Jehovah thy God shall enlarge thy border, as He has spoken to thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longs to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh with all the longing of thy soul.

²¹ If the place which Jehovah thy God has chosen to set His name there be· too ·far from thee, then thou shalt sacrifice from thy herd and from thy flock, which Jehovah has given thee, as^◦ I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates with all the longing of thy soul.

²² Surely as^◦ one eats the roebuck and the stag, so thou shalt eat them; the unclean and the clean shall eat of them together.

²³ Only be·​·firm not^▵ to eat the blood; for the blood, it^◦ is the soul; and thou shalt not eat the soul with the flesh.

²⁴ Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt spill it on the earth as water.

²⁵ Thou shalt not eat it; so·​·that it may be·​·good for thee, and for thy sons after thee, for thou shalt do what is upright in the eyes of Jehovah.

²⁶ Only thy holy things which thou hast^◦, and thy vows, thou shalt carry, and come to^▵ the place which Jehovah shall choose;

²⁷ and thou shalt make thy burnt·​·offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of Jehovah thy God; and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be spilled on the altar of Jehovah thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.

²⁸ Keep and hear all these words which I^▵ command thee, so·​·that it may be·​·good for thee, and for thy sons after thee even·​·to eternity, when thou doest what is good and upright in the eyes of Jehovah thy God.

²⁹ When Jehovah thy God shall cut·​·off the nations from before thee, whither thou^◦ comest to possess them, and thou shalt possess them, and dwell in their land;

³⁰ take·​·heed for thyself, lest thou be ensnared^◦ following after them, after they be blotted·​·out from before thee; and lest thou inquire as·​·to their gods, saying, How^◦ did these nations serve their gods? and so will I do, even I^◦.

³¹ Thou shalt not do so to Jehovah thy God; for every abomination to Jehovah, which He hates, have they done to their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

^{32 13:1} Every word that I command you, thou shalt observe to do it; thou shalt not add to it, and thou shalt not diminish from it.
