¹ And Jehovah spoke to^▵ Moses, saying,

² Speak to^▵ all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and say to^▵ them, You shall be holy; for I^◦, Jehovah, your God am holy.

³ You shall fear a man^◦ his mother, and his father, and keep My Sabbaths; I^◦ am Jehovah your God.

⁴ Turn^◦ ye not to^▵ vain·​·gods^◦, nor make to yourselves molten gods; I^◦ am Jehovah your God.

⁵ And if^▫ you sacrifice a sacrifice of peace·​·offerings to Jehovah, you shall sacrifice it at your own good·​·pleasure.

⁶ It shall be eaten in the day of your sacrifice, and on the morrow; and what remains until the third day, it shall be burnt·​·up in the fire.

⁷ And if eating it be eaten on^◦ the third day, it^◦ is an abomination^◦; it shall not be well·​·pleasing.

⁸ And he who eats it shall bear his iniquity, for he has profaned that which is holy of Jehovah; and that^◦ soul shall be cut·​·off from his peoples.

⁹ And when you harvest the harvest of your land, thou shalt not complete the corners^▵ of thy field, and thou shalt not collect all the collecting of thy harvest.

¹⁰ And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou collect every grape^◦ of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave^◦ them for the afflicted and sojourner; I^◦ am Jehovah your God.

¹¹ You shall not steal, and you shall not deceive^◦, and you shall not do·​·falsely, a man^◦ with his fellow.

¹² And you shall not promise in My name falsely, neither^◦ shalt thou profane the name of thy God; I^◦ am Jehovah.

¹³ Thou shalt not oppress thy companion, neither rob him; the wages for the work of him who is a hireling shall not pass·​·the·​·night with^◦ thee until the morning.

¹⁴ Thou shalt not revile someone deaf, nor put^◦ a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God; I^◦ am Jehovah.

¹⁵ You shall not do perversity in judgment; thou shalt not accept the faces of the poor^*, nor honor the faces of the great; but in justice shalt thou judge thy fellow·​·man.

¹⁶ Thou shalt not go slandering among^◦ thy people; thou shalt not stand against the blood of thy companion: I^◦ am Jehovah.

¹⁷ Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart; reproving thou shalt reprove thy fellow·​·man, and not bear a sin against him.

¹⁸ Thou shalt not avenge, and thou shalt not bear·​·a·​·grudge against the sons of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor^▵ as^▵ thyself; I^◦ am Jehovah.

¹⁹ You shall keep My statutes. Thou shalt not breed thy beast with two·​·types together; thou shalt not sow thy field with two·​·types of seed: and a garment of two·​·types of cloth·​·mixed together shall not come·​·up on thee.

²⁰ And if^▫ a man^◦ lies with^◦ a woman, lying·​·down with seed, and she^◦ is a handmaid, promised^* to a man^◦, and redeeming^◦ she has not been redeemed^◦, or freedom has not been given to her, there shall be a seeking·​·out; they shall not be put·​·to·​·death, for she was· not ·free.

²¹ And he shall bring his guilt offering to Jehovah, to^▵ the entrance of the Tabernacle of the congregation^◦, even a ram for a guilt offering.

²² And the priest shall make·​·atonement for^▵ him with the ram of the guilt offering before Jehovah for^▵ his sin which he has sinned; and the sin which he has sinned shall be pardoned him.

²³ And when^◦ you shall come into^▵ the land, and shall have planted all kinds of trees for food, then its fruit shall be uncircumcised as a foreskin; three years shall it be uncircumcised for you: it shall not be eaten.

²⁴ But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy praises to Jehovah.

²⁵ And in the fifth year you shall eat of its fruit, to add to you its increase; I^◦ am Jehovah your God.

²⁶ You shall not eat on the blood; you shall not foretell, nor be·​·a·​·wizard.

²⁷ You shall not round·​·off^* the corners^▵ of your heads, and thou shalt not mar the corners^▵ of thy beard.

²⁸ And a laceration for the soul you shall not put^◦ in your flesh, and the writing of a tattoo you shall not put^◦ on^◦ you; I^◦ am Jehovah.

²⁹ Do not profane thy daughter, to cause her to·​·commit·​·harlotry; that the land not commit·​·harlotry, and the land become·​·full of crime.

³⁰ You shall keep My Sabbaths, and My sanctuary you shall fear; I^◦ am Jehovah.

³¹ Turn^◦ not to^▵ mediums, and to^▵ soothsayers seek not, to be defiled by them; I^◦ am Jehovah your God.

³² Thou shalt rise·​·up before those with gray·​·hairs, and honor the face of the old, and fear thy God; I^◦ am Jehovah.

³³ And when^◦ a sojourner sojourn with thee in your land, you shall not exploit him.

³⁴ But the sojourner who sojourns with^◦ you shall be to you as the native among you, and thou shalt love him as^▵ thyself; for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt; I^◦ am Jehovah your God.

³⁵ You shall not do perversity in judgment, in measurement, in weight, or^◦ in volume.

³⁶ A just balance, just stones, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall be to you; I^◦ am Jehovah your God, who brought· you ·out of the land of Egypt.

³⁷ And you shall keep all My statutes, and all My judgments, and do them; I^◦ am Jehovah.

¹ And Jehovah spoke to^▵ Moses in Mount Sinai, saying,

² Speak to^▵ the sons of Israel, and say to^▵ them, When^◦ you come to^▵ the land which I^◦ give to you, then shall the land rest^◦, it is a Sabbath to Jehovah.

³ Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and Six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather its increase;

⁴ but in the seventh year shall be a Sabbath of rest^◦ for the land, a Sabbath for Jehovah; thou shalt not sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

⁵ That which grows of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not harvest, and thou shalt not gather·​·the·​·vintage of the grapes of thine undressed·​·vine, it is a sabbath year for the land.

⁶ And the Sabbath of the land shall be for food for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maidservant, and for thy hireling, and for thy lodger who sojourns with thee,

⁷ and for thy beast, and for the animal that is in thy land, shall all her increase be for eating.

⁸ And thou shalt number seven Sabbaths of years to thee, seven times^◦ seven years; and the days of the seven Sabbaths of years shall be to thee forty and nine years.

⁹ And thou shalt cause the shophar^* of the jubilee^◦ to pass·​·through in the seventh month, on^◦ the tenth of^◦ the month, in the day of atonements you shall cause the shophar to pass·​·through in all your land.

¹⁰ And you shall sanctify the year of the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty in the land to all those who dwell in her; it^◦ shall be a jubilee for you; and you shall return, each·​·man^◦ to^▵ his possession^◦, and you shall return, each·​·man^◦ to^▵ his family.

¹¹ A jubilee, that^◦ year shall be the fiftieth year for you; you shall not sow, neither harvest that which grows of itself in her, nor gather·​·the·​·vintage of her undressed·​·vines.

¹² For it is the jubilee; it^◦ shall be holy to you; you shall eat its increase from the field.

¹³ In the year of this jubilee you shall return each·​·man^◦ to^▵ his possession^◦.

¹⁴ And if^▫ thou sell a selling to thy fellow·​·man, or buyest from the hand of thy fellow·​·man, you shall not exploit a man^◦ his brother;

¹⁵ within^◦ the number of years after the jubilee thou shalt buy from thy fellow, and within^◦ the number of years of the increase he shall sell to thee;

¹⁶ according to the multitude of the years thou shalt multiply the buying of it, and according to the fewness of the years thou shalt make·​·less the buying of it; for from the number of the increase he^◦ sells to thee.

¹⁷ And you shall not exploit a man^◦ his fellow; but thou shalt fear thy God; for I^◦ am Jehovah thy God.

¹⁸ And you shall do My statutes, and keep My judgments, and do them; and you shall dwell on the land securely.

¹⁹ And the land shall give her fruit, and you shall eat to satisfaction, and dwell upon it securely.

²⁰ And if^▫ you shall say, What shall we eat in the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather·​·in our increase;

²¹ and I will command My blessing unto you in the sixth year, and it shall make increase for three years.

²² And you shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of the old^◦ increase until the ninth year; until her increase come·​·in you shall eat of the old^◦.

²³ And the land shall not be sold, cutting· it ·away, for the land is Mine; for you^◦ are sojourners and lodgers with·​·Me.

²⁴ And in all the land of your possession^◦ you shall give a redemption for the land.

²⁵ If^▫ thy brother be·​·poor^◦, and has sold some of his possession^◦, and a neighbor come to^▵ him to redeem it, then he shall redeem what his brother sold.

²⁶ And if^▫ a man^◦ have^◦ not to redeem, and his hand can attain and find enough for its redemption,

²⁷ then let him reckon the years from its sale, and return what is left·​·over to the man^◦ to whom he sold it, and he will return it to his possession^◦.

²⁸ But if his hand does· not ·find enough to return to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that has bought it until the year of jubilee; and in the jubilee it shall go·​·out, and he shall return to his possession^◦.

²⁹ And if^▫ a man^◦ sell a house, a dwelling, in a walled city, then its redemption will be until an entire year from its sale; these are the days of its redemption.

³⁰ And if it be not redeemed to^◦ the fulfilling of an entire year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be·​·secure^▵, cutting· it ·away to him who bought it for his generations; it shall not go·​·out in the jubilee.

³¹ But the houses of the villages which have^◦ no wall around them shall be reckoned as the fields of the land; they may be redeemed, and they shall go·​·out in the jubilee.

³² But the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their property, are for the Levites to be redeemed to eternity.

³³ And if one from the Levites redeem, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession^◦, shall go·​·out in the year of jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession^◦ in the midst of the sons of Israel.

³⁴ But the field of the suburbs^* of their cities may not be sold; for it^◦ is their eternal possession^◦.

³⁵ And if^▫ thy brother be·​·poor^◦, and his hand move with thee, then thou shalt strengthen him, though he be a sojourner or^◦ a lodger; and he shall live with thee.

³⁶ Take thou no^◦ usury from him, or^◦ interest; but fear thy God; and thy brother may live with thee.

³⁷ Thy silver thou shalt not give to him in usury, and for increase^▵ thou shalt not give thy food.

³⁸ I^◦ am Jehovah your God, who brought· you ·out from the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.

³⁹ And if^▫ thy brother that dwells with thee be·​·poor^◦, and be sold to thee; thou shalt not serve on^◦ him the service of a servant;

⁴⁰ but as a hireling, and as a lodger, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee to^◦ the year of jubilee;

⁴¹ and then he shall go·​·out from being with thee, both he^◦ and his sons with him, and shall return to^▵ his own family, and to^▵ the possession^◦ of his fathers he shall return.

⁴² For they^◦ are My servants, whom I brought·​·out from the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold with the selling of a servant.

⁴³ Thou shalt not have·​·dominion over^◦ him with severity; but shalt fear thy God.

⁴⁴ Both thy manservant, and thy maidservant that thou shalt have^◦ from the nations that are all around you; from them^◦ you shall buy a manservant and a maidservant.

⁴⁵ And also from the sons of the lodgers who sojourn with you, from them^◦ you shall buy, and from their families who are with you, whom they begot in your land; and they shall be for you for a possession^◦.

⁴⁶ And you shall take· them ·for·​·an·​·inheritance for your sons after you, to possess as a possession^◦ for an age; among^◦ them you shall serve^*; but among^◦ your brothers the sons of Israel, a man^◦ among^◦ his brother, you shall not have·​·dominion over^◦ him with severity.

⁴⁷ And if^▫ the hand of a sojourner or^◦ a lodger obtains from thee, and thy brother from him becomes·​·poor^◦, and be sold to the sojourner or lodger with thee, or to the stock of the family of the sojourner;

⁴⁸ after he is sold he may be redeemed; one of his brothers may redeem him;

⁴⁹ either his uncle, or the son of his uncle, may redeem him, or he that is from the kin of his flesh from his family may redeem him; or his hand can attain it, and he may redeem himself.

⁵⁰ And he shall reckon with him who bought him from the year that he was sold to him until the year of jubilee; and the silver of his sale shall be set on^◦ the number of years, according·​·to the day of a hireling shall it be with him.

⁵¹ If there be still many years, by their mouth he shall return the price of his redemption from the silver for which he was bought.

⁵² And if there is·​·left but few years until the year of jubilee, then he shall reckon with him, and according to his years shall he return the price of his redemption.

⁵³ And as a hireling of a year in a year shall he be with him; and the other shall not have·​·dominion with severity over him in thine eyes.

⁵⁴ And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go·​·out in the year of jubilee, both he^◦, and his sons with him.

⁵⁵ For to Me the sons of Israel are servants; they^◦ are My servants whom I brought·​·out from the land of Egypt; I^◦ am Jehovah your God.
