¹ 主はモーセに言われた。

² 「正月の元日にあなたは会見の天幕なる幕屋を建てなければならない。

³ そして、その中にあかしの箱を置き、垂幕で、箱を隔て隠し、

⁴ また、机を携え入れ、それに並べるものを並べ、燭台を携え入れて、そのともしびをともさなければならない。

⁵ あなたはまた金の香の祭壇を、あかしの箱の前にすえ、とばりを幕屋の入口にかけなければならない。

⁶ また燔祭の祭壇を会見の天幕なる幕屋の入口の前にすえ、

⁷ 洗盤を会見の天幕と祭壇との間にすえて、これに水を入れなければならない。

⁸ また周囲に庭を設け、庭の門にとばりをかけなければならない。

⁹ そして注ぎ油をとって、幕屋とその中のすべてのものに注ぎ、それとそのもろもろの器とを聖別しなければならない、こうして、それは聖となるであろう。

¹⁰ あなたはまた燔祭の祭壇と、そのすべての器に油を注いで、その祭壇を聖別しなければならない。こうして祭壇は、いと聖なるものとなるであろう。

¹¹ また洗盤と、その台とに油を注いで、これを聖別し、

¹² アロンとその子たちを会見の幕屋の入口に連れてきて、水で彼らを洗い、

¹³ アロンに聖なる服を着せ、これに油を注いで聖別し、祭司の務をさせなければならない。

¹⁴ また彼の子たちを連れてきて、これに服を着せ、

¹⁵ その父に油を注いだように、彼らにも油を注いで、祭司の務をさせなければならない。彼らが油そそがれることは、代々ながく祭司職のためになすべきことである」。

¹⁶ モーセはそのように行った。すなわち主が彼に命じられたように行った。

¹⁷ 第二年の正月になって、その月の元日に幕屋は建った。

¹⁸ すなわちモーセは幕屋を建て、その座をすえ、その枠を立て、その横木をさし込み、その柱を立て、

¹⁹ 幕屋の上に天幕をひろげ、その上に天幕のおおいをかけた。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

²⁰ 彼はまたあかしの板をとって箱に納め、さおを箱につけ、贖罪所を箱の上に置き、

²¹ 箱を幕屋に携え入れ、隔ての垂幕をかけて、あかしの箱を隠した。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

²² 彼はまた会見の天幕なる幕屋の内部の北側、垂幕の外に机をすえ、

²³ その上にパンを列に並べて、主の前に供えた。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

²⁴ 彼はまた会見の天幕なる幕屋の内部の南側に、机にむかい合わせて燭台をすえ、

²⁵ 主の前にともしびをともした。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

²⁶ 彼は会見の幕屋の中、垂幕の前に金の祭壇をすえ、

²⁷ その上に香ばしい薫香をたいた。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

²⁸ 彼はまた幕屋の入口にとばりをかけ、

²⁹ 燔祭の祭壇を会見の天幕なる幕屋の入口にすえ、その上に燔祭と素祭をささげた。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

³⁰ 彼はまた会見の天幕と祭壇との間に洗盤を置き、洗うためにそれに水を入れた。

³¹ モーセとアロンおよびその子たちは、それで手と足を洗った。

³² すなわち会見の天幕にはいるとき、また祭壇に近づくとき、そこで洗った。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

³³ また幕屋と祭壇の周囲に庭を設け、庭の門にとばりをかけた。このようにしてモーセはその工事を終えた。

³⁴ そのとき、雲は会見の天幕をおおい、主の栄光が幕屋に満ちた。

³⁵ モーセは会見の幕屋に、はいることができなかった。雲がその上にとどまり、主の栄光が幕屋に満ちていたからである。

³⁶ 雲が幕屋の上からのぼる時、イスラエルの人々は道に進んだ。彼らはその旅路において常にそうした。

³⁷ しかし、雲がのぼらない時は、そののぼる日まで道に進まなかった。

³⁸ すなわちイスラエルの家のすべての者の前に、昼は幕屋の上に主の雲があり、夜は雲の中に火があった。彼らの旅路において常にそうであった。

¹ イスラエルはシッテムにとどまっていたが、民はモアブの娘たちと、みだらな事をし始めた。

² その娘たちが神々に犠牲をささげる時に民を招くと、民は一緒にそれを食べ、娘たちの神々を拝んだ。

³ イスラエルはこうしてペオルのバアルにつきしたがったので、主はイスラエルにむかって怒りを発せられた。

⁴ そして主はモーセに言われた、「民の首領をことごとく捕え、日のあるうちにその人々を主の前で処刑しなさい。そうすれば主の怒りはイスラエルを離れるであろう」。

⁵ モーセはイスラエルのさばきびとたちにむかって言った、「あなたがたはおのおの、配下の者どもでペオルのバアルにつきしたがったものを殺しなさい」。

⁶ モーセとイスラエルの人々の全会衆とが会見の幕屋の入口で泣いていた時、彼らの目の前で、ひとりのイスラエルびとが、その兄弟たちの中に、ひとりのミデアンの女を連れてきた。

⁷ 祭司アロンの子なるエレアザルの子ピネハスはこれを見て、会衆のうちから立ち上がり、やりを手に執り、

⁸ そのイスラエルの人の後を追って、奥の間に入り、そのイスラエルの人を突き、またその女の腹を突き通して、ふたりを殺した。こうして疫病がイスラエルの人々に及ぶのがやんだ。

⁹ しかし、その疫病で死んだ者は二万四千人であった。

¹⁰ 主はモーセに言われた、

¹¹ 「祭司アロンの子なるエレアザルの子ピネハスは自分のことのように、わたしの憤激をイスラエルの人々のうちに表わし、わたしの怒りをそのうちから取り去ったので、わたしは憤激して、イスラエルの人々を滅ぼすことをしなかった。

¹² このゆえにあなたは言いなさい、『わたしは平和の契約を彼に授ける。

¹³ これは彼とその後の子孫に永遠の祭司職の契約となるであろう。彼はその神のために熱心であって、イスラエルの人々のために罪のあがないをしたからである』と」。

¹⁴ ミデアンの女と共に殺されたイスラエルの人の名はジムリといい、サルの子で、シメオンびとのうちの一族のつかさであった。

¹⁵ またその殺されたミデアンの女の名はコズビといい、ツルの娘であった。ツルはミデアンの民の一族のかしらであった。

¹⁶ 主はまたモーセに言われた、

¹⁷ 「ミデアンびとを打ち悩ましなさい。

¹⁸ 彼らはたくらみをもって、あなたがたを悩まし、ペオルの事と、彼らの姉妹、ミデアンのつかさの娘コズビ、すなわちペオルの事により、疫病の起った日に殺された女の事とによって、あなたがたを惑わしたからである」。

¹ A reed like a rod was given to me. Someone said, "Rise, and measure God's temple, and the altar, and those who worship in it.

² Leave out the court which is outside of the temple, and don't measure it, for it has been given to the nations. They will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months.

³ I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."

⁴ These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands, standing before the Lord of the earth.

⁵ If anyone desires to harm them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies. If anyone desires to harm them, he must be killed in this way.

⁶ These have the power to shut up the sky, that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy. They have power over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.

⁷ When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.

⁸ Their dead bodies will be in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

⁹ From among the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations people will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.

¹⁰ Those who dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and they will be glad. They will give gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

¹¹ After the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet. Great fear fell on those who saw them.

¹² I heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here!" They went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies saw them.

¹³ In that day there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

¹⁴ The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe comes quickly.

¹⁵ The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ. He will reign forever and ever!"

¹⁶ The twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God's throne, fell on their faces and worshiped God,

¹⁷ saying: "We give you thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who was; because you have taken your great power, and reigned.

¹⁸ The nations were angry, and your wrath came, as did the time for the dead to be judged, and to give your bondservants the prophets, their reward, as well as to the saints, and those who fear your name, to the small and the great; and to destroy those who destroy the earth."

¹⁹ God's temple that is in heaven was opened, and the ark of the Lord's covenant was seen in his temple. Lightnings, sounds, thunders, an earthquake, and great hail followed.
