¹ And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

² Speak unto the children of Israel, that they take for me an offering: of every man whose heart maketh him willing ye shall take my offering.

³ And this is the offering which ye shall take of them: gold, and silver, and brass,

⁴ and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' [hair],

⁵ and rams' skins dyed red, and sealskins, and acacia wood,

⁶ oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense,

⁷ onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate.

⁸ And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.

⁹ According to all that I show thee, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the furniture thereof, even so shall ye make it.

¹⁰ And they shall make an ark of acacia wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

¹¹ And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.

¹² And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four feet thereof; and two rings shall be on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.

¹³ And thou shalt make staves of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.

¹⁴ And thou shalt put the staves into the rings on the sides of the ark, wherewith to bear the ark.

¹⁵ The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.

¹⁶ And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.

¹⁷ And thou shalt make a mercy-seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half [shall be] the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

¹⁸ And thou shalt make two cherubim of gold; of beaten work shalt thou make them, at the two ends of the mercy-seat.

¹⁹ And make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end: of one piece with the mercy-seat shall ye make the cherubim on the two ends thereof.

²⁰ And the cherubim shall spread out their wings on high, covering the mercy-seat with their wings, with their faces one to another; toward the mercy-seat shall the faces of the cherubim be.

²¹ And thou shalt put the mercy-seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.

²² And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy-seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

²³ And thou shalt make a table of acacia wood: two cubits [shall be] the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

²⁴ And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.

²⁵ And thou shalt make unto it a border of a handbreadth round about; and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border thereof round about.

²⁶ And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof.

²⁷ Close by the border shall the rings be, for places for the staves to bear the table.

²⁸ And thou shalt make the staves of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.

²⁹ And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and the spoons thereof, and the flagons thereof, and the bowls thereof, wherewith to pour out: of pure gold shalt thou make them.

³⁰ And thou shalt set upon the table showbread before me alway.

³¹ And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made, even its base, and its shaft; its cups, its knops, and its flowers, shall be of one piece with it.

³² And there shall be six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof:

³³ three cups made like almond-blossoms in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three cups made like almond-blossoms in the other branch, a knop and a flower: so for the six branches going out of the candlestick:

³⁴ and in the candlestick four cups made like almond-blossoms, the knops thereof, and the flowers thereof;

³⁵ and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of the candlestick.

³⁶ Their knops and their branches shall be of one piece with it; the whole of it one beaten work of pure gold.

³⁷ And thou shalt make the lamps thereof, seven: and they shall light the lamps thereof, to give light over against it.

³⁸ And the snuffers thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold.

³⁹ Of a talent of pure gold shall it be made, with all these vessels.

⁴⁰ And see that thou make them after their pattern, which hath been showed thee in the mount.

¹ These are the statutes and the ordinances which you shall observe to do in the land which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess it, all the days that you live on the earth.

² You shall surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree:

³ and you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and burn their Asherim with fire; and you shall cut down the engraved images of their gods; and you shall destroy their name out of that place.

⁴ You shall not do so to Yahweh your God.

⁵ But to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even to his habitation you shall seek, and there you shall come;

⁶ and there you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock:

⁷ and there you shall eat before Yahweh your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which Yahweh your God has blessed you.

⁸ You shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatever is right in his own eyes;

⁹ for you haven't yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which Yahweh your God gives you.

¹⁰ But when you go over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which Yahweh your God causes you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you dwell in safety;

¹¹ then it shall happen that to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to Yahweh.

¹² You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your male servants, and your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

¹³ Take heed to yourself that you don't offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see;

¹⁴ but in the place which Yahweh shall choose in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.

¹⁵ Notwithstanding, you may kill and eat flesh within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to the blessing of Yahweh your God which he has given you: the unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle, and as of the hart.

¹⁶ Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it out on the earth as water.

¹⁷ You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your freewill offerings, nor the wave offering of your hand;

¹⁸ but you shall eat them before Yahweh your God in the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates: and you shall rejoice before Yahweh your God in all that you put your hand to.

¹⁹ Take heed to yourself that you don't forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.

²⁰ When Yahweh your God shall enlarge your border, as he has promised you, and you shall say, "I want to eat meat," because your soul desires to eat meat; you may eat meat, after all the desire of your soul.

²¹ If the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to put his name there, is too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which Yahweh has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates, after all the desire of your soul.

²² Even as the gazelle and as the hart is eaten, so you shall eat of it: the unclean and the clean may eat of it alike.

²³ Only be sure that you don't eat the blood: for the blood is the life; and you shall not eat the life with the flesh.

²⁴ You shall not eat it; you shall pour it out on the earth as water.

²⁵ You shall not eat it; that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, when you shall do that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh.

²⁶ Only your holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take, and go to the place which Yahweh shall choose:

²⁷ and you shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of Yahweh your God; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of Yahweh your God; and you shall eat the flesh.

²⁸ Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in the eyes of Yahweh your God.

²⁹ When Yahweh your God shall cut off the nations from before you, where you go in to dispossess them, and you dispossess them, and dwell in their land;

³⁰ take heed to yourself that you not be ensnared to follow them, after that they are destroyed from before you; and that you not inquire after their gods, saying, "How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise."

³¹ You shall not do so to Yahweh your God: for every abomination to Yahweh, which he hates, have they done to their gods; for even their sons and their daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods.

³² Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do: you shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
