Time and space are aspects of the physical world, but do not exist as we know them in the spiritual world. In the spiritual world, people's sense of place and time are a matter of their spiritual states -- their thoughts and affections. So when the Bible talks about hours -- or any other measurement of time -- it is referring to a specific spiritual state.
