3083. 'And filled her pitcher' means vessels for receiving. This is clear from the meaning of 'a pitcher' in the internal sense, since it is a vessel able to receive water, as a recipient of cognitions of truth, also of truth itself, which are meant by 'water'. 'Sufficiency' relates to the reception of good, because good is the spiritual nourishment of the soul, as natural food is the nourishment of the body.
