2104. 'Just as God had spoken to him' means according to perception. This is clear from the meaning of 'God's saying' and 'speaking' as perceiving, dealt with in 1791, 1815, 1819, 1822, 1898, 1919, 2097.

2097. That 'He finished speaking to him' means the end of this perception is clear from the meaning of 'speaking' and of 'laying' in the internal sense as perceiving, dealt with frequently already. 'To finish speaking' therefore is having such perception no longer.
