The children of Israel represent 'lamentation' through various things which signified evil of the church among them. When they were punished for their actions, they then represented repentance and humiliation.

爱与信的善与美被形容为 “女儿”. 这也是教会被称为 “女儿 “的原因, 尤其凭着她的良善, 如 “锡安的女儿和耶路撒冷的女儿” (以赛亚书 37:22以及其它多处). 他们还被称为 “我民的女儿” (以赛亚书 22:4), “他施的女儿 “(以赛亚书 23:10), “西顿的女儿” (以赛亚书 23:12) 和 “田间的女儿” (以西结书 26:6, 8).
