1 Kings 14:10

Studie

10 therefore, behold, I bring evil against the house of Jeroboam, and will cut··off from Jeroboam him who urinates against a wall, him who is restrained and him that is forsaken in Israel; and I shall sweep··away the posterity of the house of Jeroboam, as one sweeps··away the excrement until it is entirely gone.

Verse 10. Therefore they must needs be left to their own selfish love; must be deprived of truths in successive order, even ultimate truths which are falsified, those which are acknowledged in a state of restraint, and those which are freely received by the understanding; and must also put off ail merely external good, or be completely vastated, just as evil must be entirely separated from those who are in the genuine love of Divine Truth.
