Joel 2:2

공부

2 A day of darkness and thick darkness, A day of cloud and thick darkness, As darkness spread on the mountains, A people numerous and mighty, Like it there hath not been from of old, And after it there is not again -- till the years of generation and generation.

Flame

A flame of fire, as in Revelation 1:14, signifies spiritual love, and when spoken of the Lord, his divine love. A flame signifies spiritual good, and the light of it, truth from that good. A flame, in the Word, signifies good things relating to love, and lights, the truths relating to faith. A flaming fire, as in Psalm 104:4, signifies the celestial spiritual principle.

3222. In addition to this, loves and the affections belonging to them are represented by means of flames, which are indescribably varied. Truths however are represented by means of lights and by means of countless modifications of light. From this it may be seen how it comes about that flames in the Word mean goods that are the goods of love, and lights truths that are the truths of faith.
