⁴ Take the sum of the people, from a son of twenty years and upward; as^◦ Jehovah commanded Moses and the sons of Israel, who went·​·forth from the land of Egypt.

⁴ And this is the reason that Joshua did circumcise: all the people that came·​·out from Egypt, that were males, all the men^◦ of war, died in the wilderness in the way, when they came·​·forth out·​·of Egypt.
