119. 对于 “亚述” 象征心智负责理性的部分, 或说人的理性思维能力, 这从先知书可知, 例如: “亚述王曾如黎巴嫩中的香柏树, 枝条荣美, 影密如林, 极其高大, 粗枝长出分枝. 众水使它生长, 深水使它长大, 所栽之地有江河围流.” (以西结书 31:3-4) 在此, 理性思维的能力被称为 “黎巴嫩中的香柏树”, “粗枝长出分枝” 象征记忆中的知识, 这正是知识增长的情形.
