13 Hezekiah listened to them, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious oil, and the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah didn't show them.

Verse 13. And the man of the church is then captivated by such an external state, and is disposed to adulterate the Word as to truth, as to good, as to the grateful things of interior truths in worship, as to holy love, as to defending truths, and, in short, as to all the things of worship; for by the love of dominion all the internal and external principles of the church are vitiated and profaned.
