22 As for the people who were still living in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, did not take away, he made Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler over them.

Verse 22. And under the power of this love those in the church who are in good, because the Lord always provides for a remnant in the corrupted, perverted, and vastated church, are governed by truths most external, or by the literal sense of the Word falsified, which literal sense is perceived to be derived from interior good which is from interior truth in obscurity.
