Ezekiel 29:3

Étudier

3 Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is my own, and I have made it for myself.

Commentaire

Reed, bruised

'A bruised reed shall he not break and the smoking flax shall he not quench,' as in Isaiah 42:3, signifies that the Lord does not break fallacies or quench lust, but inclines them to truth and good. 'A bruised reed' signifies feeble power or ability.
