²⁰ Silloin Jeremia sanoi kaikelle kansalle, sekä miehille että vaimoille, ja kaikelle kansalle, joka häntä niin vastannut oli sanoen:

³ Ja hän sanoi minulle: sinä ihmisen lapsi, minä lähetän sinun Israelin lasten tykö, jotka minusta luopuneet ovat, jotka isäinsä kanssa hamaan tähän päivään asti ovat minua vastaan rikkoneet.

¹² By the swords of the mighty will I cause your multitude to fall; the terrible of the nations are they all: and they shall bring to nothing the pride of Egypt, and all its multitude shall be destroyed.
