Jonah 3

Étudier

1 Men HE ENs Ord kom for anden gang til Jonas således:

5 Da troede Folkene i Nineve på Gud, og de udråbte en Faste og klædte sig i Sæk, både store og små;

7 og han lod udråbe i Nineve: "Kongen og hans Stormænd gør vitterligt: Hverken Folk eller Fæ, Hornkvæg eller Småkvæg, må nyde noget, græsse eller drikke Vand;

#182 The Word Came to Me

Par Jonathan S. Rose

Title: The Word Came to Me

Topic: Word

Summary: The Bible is a large block of text that hasn't changed for a couple of thousand years; yet it describes "the word of the Lord" as a living force that speaks directly to people about what is going on in their lives and surroundings. How can we reconcile these two views?

1 Chronicles 22:6-10

Étudier

6 Then he called for Solomon his son, and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, the God of Israel.

7 David said to Solomon his son, "As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to the name of Yahweh my God.

8 But the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 'You have shed blood abundantly, and have made great wars. You shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.

9 Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his enemies all around; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.

10 He shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.'
