1 And it was, when King Hezekiah◦ heard it, that he rent his garments, and covered himself with sackcloth, and came·​·into the house of Jehovah.

Verse 1. And, in this severe temptation, those who are in celestial good, or in charity, mourn also on account of lost truth externally, and of lost good internally, and apply themselves in prayer to the Lord.
