4371. 'Because God has graciously bestowed much on me' means conferred by Providence. This is clear from the meaning of the words used here as Providence, as above in 4359.

The gift which Abraham gave to the sons of the concubines which he had, as in Genesis 25:6, signifies lots in the Lord's spiritual kingdom. To send gifts, as in Revelation 11:10, signifies to be associated by love and friendship, because a gift consociates, for it begets love, and causes friendship.
