3 ואמר אלהם שמע ישראל אתם קרבים היום למלחמה על־איביכם אל־ירך לבבכם אל־תיראו ואל־תחפזו ואל־תערצו מפניהם׃

Verse 3. And from these the soul shall perceive that a state has arrived in which the spiritual man must contend as if from himself with evils and falsities; and that the will must not be allowed to succumb, nor should the soul fear, or be in trepidation, or be dismayed because of them:
