Deuteronomio 7:21
To many Protestant and Evangelical Italians, the Bibles translated by Giovanni Diodati are an important part of their history. Diodati’s first Italian Bible edition was printed in 1607, and his second in 1641. He died in 1649. Throughout the 1800s two editions of Diodati’s text were printed by the British Foreign Bible Society. This is the more recent 1894 edition, translated by Claudiana.

Versi 1-5. I mali dell'anima devono essere persistentemente e completamente distrutti o allontaneranno l'anima dal cielo.
Versi 6-11. I rigenerati devono ricevere nelle loro anime solo le verità che scaturiscono dalla Divina Umanità del Signore, tutto il resto non serve a nulla (Giovanni 10:1-16).
Versetti 12-15. La benedizione che risulta dal seguire le istruzioni divine.
Versi 16-26. La necessità di distruggere completamente il male dall'anima.
