4 וְהֻגַּד־לְךָ וְשָׁמָעְתָּ וְדָרַשְׁתָּ הֵיטֵב וְהִנֵּה אֱמֶת נָכֹון הַדָּבָר נֶעֶשְׂתָה הַתֹּועֵבָה הַזֹּאת בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל׃

Verse 4. If this be perceived and made evident to the understanding, and after diligent self-examination it is seen to be true and without doubt that such things exist in the spiritual mind which avert it from the Lord;
