4518. 'And I am [a few] mortals in number' means that it would be easy.... This is clear from the meaning of 'mortals in number' as a few. But when the train of thought in the internal sense refers to the quality of something instead of its quantity, that which is easy is meant. For when many are gathered together against them, as mentioned next, those who are a few are easily destroyed.
