40 And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.

Verse 40. Whence there is perception from the Word that all falsities from self-love are to be rejected; and, by the power of Divine Truth, they are therefore rejected to the extremes of the mind, and their rejection is confirmed.
