10297. 'Amount for amount there shall be' means total agreement. 'Amount for amount' is used to mean an equal amount of one as of the other, that is, the same amount of frankincense as of the spices; and by amount in either [liquid] measure or weight agreement is meant, in this instance total agreement.

'To sanctify' denotes being led by the Lord. It also signifies being incapable of being violated.
