To be "faithful" represents embracing the desire for good that comes from the Lord; "unrighteous mammon" represents true spiritual knowledge possessed by evil people; "true riches" represents a wealth of spiritual knowledge. In this verse, then, the Lord tells us that we should be seeking truth wherever we can find it, even from evil people, and working to put it into action. If we don’t do that, the Lord can’t lead us to the wealth of knowledge He would like to give us.
