1
The just one perishes, and no man sets it to heart; and the men of mercy are gathered in, and none understands; for on account of the evil the just is gathered in.
2
He comes into peace; they rest on their beds, each walking in his righteousness.
3
But as for you, come near hither, ye sons of the witch, the seed of the adulterer and of her who has committed harlotry.
4
Against whom do you delight yourselves? Against whom do you make the mouth wide and make the tongue long? Are you not the children of transgression, the seed of falsity?
5
Becoming warm with the gods under every green tree; slaughtering the children in the brooks under the crags of the rocks?
6
In the smooth things of the brook is thy part; these, these are thy lot; even to these hast thou spilled out a poured offering, thou hast offered up a gift offering. Can I be comforted in these?
7
On a mountain tall and lifted up hast thou set thy bed; even thither hast thou gone up to sacrifice a sacrifice.
8
And behind the door and the doorpost hast thou set thy memorial; for departing from Me, thou hast revealed thyself to another; and thou hast gone up, and enlarged thy bed; thou hast cut a covenant with them; thou lovest their bed; thou hast beheld a space for it.
9
And thou hast offered a gift to the king in oil, and hast multiplied thine ointments; and thou hast sent thine ambassadors far off, and hast brought thyself low, even to hell.
10
Thou hast toiled in the multitude of thy way; thou hast not said, I despair; thou hast found the life of thy hand; therefore thou hast not become sick.
11

16

18
I have seen his ways, and I will heal him; and I will lead him, and will repay comforting to him, and to his mourners.
19
I create the bounty of the lips; Peace, Peace to him who is afar off, and to him that is near, says Jehovah; and I will heal him.
20
