Luke 6:46-49 : The Wise and the Foolish Builders (Luke)

Студија

46 "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and don't do the things which I say?

47 Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like.

48 He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock.

49 But he who hears, and doesn't do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great."

We make assumptions all the time. Quite commonly we assume what other people are thinking about us, and we take it personally! Instead of assuming, have the courage to ask questions! You'll be amazed at how many things you will no longer be offended over or outraged about.

6 "Because this people have refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;

7 now therefore, behold, the Lord brings upon them the mighty flood waters of the River: the king of Assyria and all his glory. It will come up over all its channels, and go over all its banks.

8 It will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through; it will reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of its wings will fill the breadth of your land, Immanuel.
