¹ တပါးအမျိုးကိုရည်မှတ်၍ ပရောဖက်ယေရမိသို့ ရောက်လာသော ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော် တည်းဟူသော၊

² ယုဒရှင်ဘုရင်ယောရှိသားယောယကိမ်မင်း နန်းစံ လေးနှစ်တွင်၊ ကာခေမိတ်အရပ်၊ ဥဖရတ်မြစ်နား၌ တပ်ချ၍၊ ဗာဗုလုန်ရှင်ဘုရင်နေဗုခဒ်နေဇာ လုပ်ကြံသော အဲဂုတ္တုရှင်ဘုရင် ဖာရော နေခေါ်၏ စစ်သူရဲ၊ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်သားတို့ကို ရည်မှတ်သော နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်ဟူမူကား၊

³ ဒိုင်းလွှားတို့ကို ပြင်ဆင်၍၊ စစ်တိုက်ခြင်းငှါ ချဉ်းကပ်ကြလော့။

⁴ မြင်းစီးသူရဲများတို့၊ မြင်းကို ကကြိုးတန်ဆာ ဆင်၍စီးပြီးလျှင်၊ သံခမောက်လုံးကို ဆောင်းလျက် ထွက်ကြလော့။ လှံတို့ကိုပွတ်ကြလော့။ သံချပ်အင်္ကျီတို့ကို ဝတ်ကြလော့။

⁵ သူတို့သည်ကြောက်ရွံ့၍ ဆုတ်သွားကြသည်ကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် ငါမြင်ရသနည်း။ အားကြီးသော သူတို့ သည် ရှုံးသဖြင့် ပြန်၍မကြည့်ဝံ့။ အလျင်အမြန်ပြေးကြ ၏။ ပတ်လည်အရပ်၌ ဘေးရှိသည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁶ လျင်မြန်သောသူကို မပြေးစေနှင့်။ အားကြီး သော သူကိုမလွတ်စေနှင့်။ ဥဖရတ်မြစ်နား၊ မြောက် မျက်နှာ၌ ထိမိ၍လဲကြလိမ့်မည်။

⁷ နိလမြစ်ထသကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ မြစ်ရေစီးသကဲ့သို့၎င်း တက်လာသော ဤသူကား အဘယ်သူနည်း။

⁸ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်သည် နိလမြစ်ထသကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ မြစ်ရေစီးသကဲ့သို့၎င်း တက်လာလျက်၊ ငါသည် ထ၍ မြေကြီးကို လွှမ်းမိုးမည်။ မြို့နှင့်တကွမြို့ သားတို့ကို ဖျက်ဆီးမည်ဟု ပြောဆို၏။

⁹ မြင်းများတို့၊ တက်ကြလော့။ ရထားများတို့၊ ဟုန်းဟုန်းမြည်ကြလော့။ သူရဲများတည်းဟူသော၊ ဒိုင်းလွှားကို ကိုင်တတ်သော ကုရှအမျိုး၊ ဖုတအမျိုးသား၊ လေးကိုကိုင်၍ ပစ်တတ်သောလုဒိအမျိုးသားတို့သည် ထွက်သွားကြစေ။

¹⁰ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ရန်သူတို့ကို ဒဏ်ပေးရသောနေ့၊ အမျက်တော်ကို ဖြေရသောနေ့ရက်ဖြစ်သည်နှင့် အညီ၊ ထားတော်သည် ကိုက်စား၍ဝလိမ့်မည်။ သူတို့အသွေးနှင့် ယစ်မူးလိမ့်မည်။ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရားအဘို့၊ မြောက်မျက်နှာ၌ ဥဖရတ်မြစ်နားမှာ ယဇ်ပူဇော်စရာ အကြောင်ရှိ၏။

¹¹ အိုအဲဂုတ္တုသတို့သမီးကညာ၊ ဂိလဒ်ပြည်သို့ သွား၍ဗာလစံစေးကို ယူလော့။ သင်သည်များစွာသော ဆေးကိုအချည်းနှီးသုံးတတ်၏။ သင်၏အနာ မပျောက် နိုင်ရာ။

¹² သင်သည် အရှက်ကွဲကြောင်းကို လူမျိုးတို့သည် ကြားကြပြီ။ သင် မြည်တမ်းသော အသံသည်းမြေတပြင် လုံး၌ နှံ့ပြားပြီး။ သူရချင်းတယောက်နှင့် တယောက် ထိခိုက်၍၊ နှစ်ယောက်တို့သည်လဲကြပြီဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹³ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်ကိုလုပ်ကြံခြင်းငှါ ဗာဗုလုန် ရှင်ဘုရင်နေဗုဒဒ်နေဇာလာမည်အကြောင်းကြောင့်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ပရောဖက်ယေရမိအား မိန့်တော်မူ သော စကားဟူမူကား၊

¹⁴ သင့်ပတ်လည်၌နေသောသူတို့ကို ထားတော် သည် ကိုက်စားပြီ။ ကိုယ်ကိုပြင်ဆင်၍ မြဲမြံစွာ နေလော့ ဟု အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်၌ကြွေးကြော်ကြလော့။ မိဂဒေါလမြို့၌ သိတင်းကြားကြလော့။ နောဖမြို့၊ တာပနက်မြို့၌လည်း ကြားပြောကြလော့။

¹⁵ သင်၏သူရဲသည် အဘယ်ကြောင့် ရှုံးသနည်း။ ထာဝရဘုရားတွန်းချတော်မူသောကြောင့်၊ သူသည် မရပ် မနေနိုင်ရာ။

¹⁶ လူများတို့သည် ထိမိ၍တယောက်အပေါ်မှာ တယောက်လဲစေခြင်းငှါ ပြုတော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သူတို့က၊ ထကြကုန်အံ့။ ညှဉ်းဆဲတတ်သော ထားကြောင့် ကိုယ် အမျိုး၊ ကိုယ်နေရင်းပြည်သို့ပြန်ကြကုန်အံ့ဟု ပြောဆို ကြ၏။

¹⁷ ရောက်ပြီးမှ အဲဂုတ္တု ရှင်ဘုရင်ဖာရောမင်းသည် ဆုံးရှုံးပြီ။ စည်းဝေးရသောအချိန်ကို လွန်စေပြီဟု ဟစ်ကြ၏။

¹⁸ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရားဟု ဘွဲ့နာမရှိသော ရှင်ဘုရင်မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ငါသည် အသက်ရှင်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ တောင်တို့တွင် တာဗော်တောင် ကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ ပင်လယ်နားမှာကရမေလတောင်ကဲ့သို့ ၎င်း ထိုမင်းသည် လာလိမ့်မည်။

¹⁹ နေရာကျသော အဲဂုတ္တုသတို့သမီး၊ နေရာ ပြောင်းစရာဘို့ ကိုယ်အသုံးအဆောင်များကို ပြင်လော့။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ နေဖမြို့သည် နေသောသူမရှိအောင် သုတ်သင်ဖျက်ဆီးခြင်းကို ခံရမည်။

²⁰ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်သည်အဆင်းလှသော နွားမဖြစ်၏။ သို့ရာတွင်၊ မြောက်မျက်နှာဘက်က နှောင့်ရှက်ခြင်း အကြောင်းပေါ်လာ၏။

²¹ သူငှါးတို့သည် သူ၏အလယ်၌ ဆူအောင် ကျွေးသောနွားကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်သော်လည်း၊ ပျက်စီးခြင်းနေ့၊ ဆုံးမခြင်းကိုခံရသော အချိန်ရောက်သောကြောင့်၊ သူတို့ သည် မရပ်မနေ၊ ကျောကိုလှည့်၍ တညီတညွတ်တည်း ပြေးသွားကြ၏။

²² သစ်ခုတ်သောသူကဲ့သို့ ပုဆိန်ပါလျက်၊ လူအလုံး အရင်းနှင့်တကွ ချီလာကြသောအခါ၊ သူ၏စကားသံ သည် မြွေမြည်သံကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။

²³ ထိုတောသည် အလွန်ရှုပ်သော်လည်း၊ သူတို့ သည် ကျိုင်းကောင်ထက်မက မရေတွက်နိုင်အောင် များသောကြောင့် ခုတ်လှဲကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²⁴ အဲဂုတ္တုသတို့သမီးသည် မိန်းမောတွေဝေလျက် ရှိ၏။ မြောက်မျက်နှာပြည်သားတို့ လက်သို့ရောက်လေပြီ။

²⁵ ဣသရေလအမျိုး၏ဘုရားသခင်ကောင်းကင် ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ နောမြို့၌ရှိသော အမ္မုန်ဘုရားနှင့် ဖာရောဘုရင်မှစ၍ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်သားဘုရားများ၊ ရှင်ဘုရင်များတည်း ဟူသော၊ ဖာရောဘုရင်အစရှိသော၊ ထိုဘုရင်ကို ကိုးစား သော သူတို့ကို ငါဆုံးမမည်။

²⁶ သူတို့အသက်ကို ရှာသောသူတည်းဟူသော ဗာဗုလုန်ရှင်ဘုရင် နေဗုခဒ်နေဇာမင်းနှင့်သူ၏ ကျွန်တို့ လက်သို့ သူတို့ကို ငါအပ်မည်။ ထိုနောက်မှတဖန် အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်သည်အရင်ကဲ့သို့ စည်ပင်လိမ့်မည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²⁷ အိုငါ့ကျွန်ယာကုပ်၊ မကြောက်နှင့်။ အို ဣသရေလအမျိုး၊ စိတ်မပျက်နှင့်။ သင့်ကိုဝေးသောအရပ်မှ၎င်း၊ သင်၏အမျိုးသားတို့ကို သိမ်းသွားရာ ပြည်မှ၎င်း ငါနှုတ် ယူဆောင်ခဲ့သဖြင့်၊ ယာကုပ်အမျိုးသည်ပြန်လာ၍၊ ချောက်လှန့်သောသူမရှိ၊ ငြိမ်ဝပ်ချမ်းသာစွာ နေရ လိမ့်မည်။

²⁸ ငါ့ကျွန်ယာကုပ်မကြောက်နှင့်။ သင်နှင့်အတူ ငါရှိ၏။ သင့်ကို ငါနှင်ထုတ်သော တိုင်းနိုင်ငံရှိသမျှတို့ကို ငါသည်ဆုံးမစေသော်လည်း၊ သင့်ကို မဆုံးစေ။ သို့ရာတွင်၊ ရှင်းရှင်းအပြစ်မလွှတ်ဘဲ အတော်အတန် ဆုံးမမည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹ Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says Yahweh.

² Therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who feed my people: You have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them; behold, I will visit on you the evil of your doings, says Yahweh.

³ I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and multiply.

⁴ I will set up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be lacking, says Yahweh.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

⁶ In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name by which he shall be called: Yahweh our righteousness.

⁷ Therefore, behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that they shall no more say, As Yahweh lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

⁸ but, As Yahweh lives, who brought up and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all the countries where I had driven them. They shall dwell in their own land.

⁹ Concerning the prophets. My heart within me is broken, all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of Yahweh, and because of his holy words.

¹⁰ For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourns; the pastures of the wilderness are dried up. Their course is evil, and their might is not right;

¹¹ for both prophet and priest are profane; yes, in my house have I found their wickedness, says Yahweh.

¹² Therefore their way shall be to them as slippery places in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein; for I will bring evil on them, even the year of their visitation, says Yahweh.

¹³ I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied by Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.

¹⁴ In the prophets of Jerusalem also I have seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies; and they strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that none does return from his wickedness: they are all of them become to me as Sodom, and its inhabitants as Gomorrah.

¹⁵ Therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies concerning the prophets: Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall; for from the prophets of Jerusalem is ungodliness gone forth into all the land.

¹⁶ Thus says Yahweh of Armies, Don't listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you: they teach you vanity; they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of Yahweh.

¹⁷ They say continually to those who despise me, Yahweh has said, You shall have peace; and to everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart they say, No evil shall come on you.

¹⁸ For who has stood in the council of Yahweh, that he should perceive and hear his word? who has marked my word, and heard it?

¹⁹ Behold, the storm of Yahweh, [even his] wrath, is gone forth, yes, a whirling storm: it shall burst on the head of the wicked.

²⁰ The anger of Yahweh shall not return, until he has executed, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days you shall understand it perfectly.

²¹ I sent not these prophets, yet they ran: I didn't speak to them, yet they prophesied.

²² But if they had stood in my council, then had they caused my people to hear my words, and had turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

²³ Am I a God at hand, says Yahweh, and not a God afar off?

²⁴ Can any hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? says Yahweh. Don't I fill heaven and earth? says Yahweh.

²⁵ I have heard what the prophets have said, who prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

²⁶ How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies, even the prophets of the deceit of their own heart?

²⁷ who think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers forgot my name for Baal.

²⁸ The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he who has my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the straw to the wheat? says Yahweh.

²⁹ Isn't my word like fire? says Yahweh; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

³⁰ Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, says Yahweh, who steal my words everyone from his neighbor.

³¹ Behold, I am against the prophets, says Yahweh, who use their tongues, and say, He says.

³² Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, says Yahweh, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their vain boasting: yet I didn't send them, nor commanded them; neither do they profit this people at all, says Yahweh.

³³ When this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask you, saying, What is the burden of Yahweh? Then you shall tell them, What burden! I will cast you off, says Yahweh.

³⁴ As for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, who shall say, The burden of Yahweh, I will even punish that man and his house.

³⁵ You shall say everyone to his neighbor, and everyone to his brother, What has Yahweh answered? and, What has Yahweh spoken?

³⁶ You shall mention the burden of Yahweh no more: for every man's own word shall be his burden; for you have perverted the words of the living God, of Yahweh of Armies our God.

³⁷ You shall say to the prophet, What has Yahweh answered you? and, What has Yahweh spoken?

³⁸ But if you say, The burden of Yahweh; therefore thus says Yahweh: Because you say this word, The burden of Yahweh, and I have sent to you, saying, You shall not say, The burden of Yahweh;

³⁹ therefore, behold, I will utterly forget you, and I will cast you off, and the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, away from my presence:

⁴⁰ and I will bring an everlasting reproach on you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.
