ബലമുള്ള ആടുകള് ചനയേലക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും കൊമ്പുകളെ കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു ചനയേല്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യാക്കോബ് ആ കൊമ്പുകളെ പാത്തികളില് ആടുകളുടെ കണ്ണിന്നു മുമ്പില് വെച്ചു.
