219. [221.] 81. Some of them say that we do not have free will but that it was lost by Adam; that we have some freedom in believing and faith, but not in doing or works. However, they were shown that no one - not even Adam - has ever had any freedom of himself, but only as if of himself, that everyone has the freedom to act from the Lord, thus to be led by the Lord; and that everyone comes into this freedom to the extent that he is led.
