Zo zult gij heden weten, dat de HEERE, uw God, Degene is, Die voor uw aangezicht doorgaat, een verterend vuur: Die zal hen verdelgen, en Die zal hen voor uw aangezicht nederwerpen; en gij zult ze uit de bezitting verdrijven, en zult hen haastelijk te niet doen, gelijk als de HEERE tot u gesproken heeft.
'Iron' signifies natural truth, and consequently, the natural sense of the Word. At the same time, 'iron' also signifies the natural light of mankind. These two definitions together signify the power of truth.
In Revelation 9:9, it signifies something strong.
In Deuteronomy 8:9, 'iron' signifies natural or rational truth.
