Devarim 6:22

Verse 22. And the Lord gave proofs and confirmations to the soul in its unregenerate state of an unmistakable character, and accompanied by severe temptations in the natural mind and all the affections and thoughts belonging thereto, as was clearly perceived by the spiritual man:
