2 And lifting up his eyes, he saw Israel abiding in their tents by their tribes: and the spirit of God rushing upon him,

Verse 2. But also, the understanding being elevated, he is enabled to contemplate the state of the spiritual man as in heavenly order according to general truths, and, for the time being, is influenced by Divine Truth.
