¹³ Så smykket du dig med gull og sølv, og din klædning var av fint lin og silke og utsydd tøi; fint mel og honning og olje åt du, og du blev overmåte fager og vel skikket til kongedømme.

¹ Gled dig ikke, Israel, og juble ikke, likesom folkene! For du har forlatt din Gud i hor; du har elsket horelønn på hvert sted hvor kornet treskes.

³⁵ The children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they asked of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and clothing.

³⁶ Yahweh gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. They despoiled the Egyptians.
